1. Cut the top layer of the microscope slide niche T-bar using a box cutter and a metal ruler as shown by the silver line. Repeat this step several times until you cut all the way through the T-bar to the backing of the slidemailer. It is better to make several small cuts than to try and cut through all the way in one shot.
2. Repeat this process on the bottom T-bar.
3. Remove the center T-bar from the bottom backing of slide mailer (you may have to peel it slightly).
You now have a perfect opening for an ATC to slide into.
