Instructions:
This book features what I call a reverse niche, where the three dimensional items sit on the facing page and close into the niche rather than being displayed within the niche itself.
Prepare the board book by cutting the niche, sanding the edges of the niche and sanding the cover to remove the shiny surface. Glue the pages together to create the niche.
Paint with black and silver acrylic paint.
Working around each flat surface, apply E6000 glue and scrape evenly with an old credit card. Adhere disco ball mirrors.
Tape up edges with aluminum tape and edges of rectangle mat board piece. Age slightly with black acrylic paint, rubbing off excess.
Emboss keyhole design onto aluminum sheet, paint with black acrylics. Layer metal keyhole design over mesh scrap and mat board. Hold together with silver brads. Adhere to book with E6000.
Adhere stamped image to inside of niche, wrap sea glass with silver wire, beaded necklace and old key, layer over mesh scraps and adhere with E6000.
